The following were the "Rules" that hung on the kitchen cabinet for years. I don't know where my mother got them-but they are rules to follow....

Laughing at ones self

Enjoying process

Planning ahead

Keeping commitments

The world is not fair.

Everybody has a boss.

Living involves hassle.

Nobody is entitled to anything.

True pride is self-respect and
must be earned, not gifted.

Being loved is only free for babies.
after that reciprocity is required.

Everybody goofs, a lot.

Everybody is laughable.
