Boston Legal looks back to The Practice

I believe that Boston Legal is one of the funniest shows on television. There is just a certain quirkiness about that show that makes me laugh. The show is in its third season and began as another The Practice was coming to an end. This show was more of a drama and while I believe that the producers are the same for both shows there was a distinct move towards comedy. Perhaps the writers thought there were too many Law and Order shows and they needed to move in the Ally McBeal direction.

Anway, I think this season of Boston Legal is trying to capture some of the more dramatic aspects of The Practice in addition the wonderful quirky humor typical of BL. There has been a murder trial that has spanned the past three shows and will continue next week as well. While there have been murder trials before somehow this one has a more serious flavor reminiscent of a series three years gone.

Perhaps ABC is trying to entice more viewers. This isn't really a criticism of the show. Not yet. Time will tell...

Just a Theory...

Mike Mussina will never win a World Series. The last time the Yankees won was in September 2000. Mike Mussina was signed to the Yankees in November 2000. Since has has played with this other team, the Yankees have never won the World Series.

Perhaps he should have never left the Orioles....
